The Fred & Esther Burmaster Memorial Scholarship was established in their memory in 1987 by their daughter, Ruthe Ridder. Fred graduated from WSC with a pharmaceutical chemist degree in 1924 and a pharmacy degree in 1925, and was a WSU college instructor from 1925 to 1929. Esther got degrees in home economics and education in 1925.
