Bert J. Porter Professional Student Travel Endowment Fund

Bert Porter, class of 1950, established this fund to provide opportunities for WSU pharmacy students to attend professional conferences and conventions in order to give WSU students a competitive edge. Bert, who owned Porter Drugs at 5th and Thor in Spokane, Wash., believes that pharmacy students, as well as faculty, should be leaders in the pharmacy profession. Pharmacy students and their faculty mentors can have a direct impact on the future of the profession by getting involved in professional organizations, local pharmacy organizations and communicating with legislative professionals.
