Ceremony Held for New Students

The College welcomed 94 new Pharm.D. students in a White Coat ceremony on the Pullman campus on Aug. 17, 2007. Continuing the trend of recent years, 60 percent of the students in the class of 2011 are women.

The average age in the class is 26, and 71 of the students had bachelor’s degrees before starting the Pharm.D. program. One student has a master’s degree and another has a Ph.D.

Most of the students – 74 of them – are Washington state residents, and another 13 of them are residents of Hawaii. From there, the numbers drop way down to 3 residents of Oregon, 2 residents of Idaho, 1 from California and 1 from Nevada.

The white coats presented to each new student were again donated by Haggen Food and Pharmacy Inc. of Bellingham, Wash.
