April 2026 Updates

Doctor of Pharmacy students

  • On March 26, 2026, the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP) student group teamed up with Nicole Rodin and WSU Health to conduct a Narcan training. During the event, students were equipped with 24 boxes of Narcan so they have not just the knowledge to save a life, but the tools as well.
  • PY2 Rural Health students, Alleni Velasco, Alexsandra Vargas, Amy Schoonover, Sarai Lopez, Perla Mendez, Susana Lopez-Auilar, Ashlynne Comnick, and Xochitl Chavez, along with Faculty mentor, Megan Undeberg, participated in the 12th annual Rural Pharmacy Career Roundtable and Networking event on Tuesday, March 31, with participants from IL, TN, and NC.  Our special featured pharmacists/sites from Washington included Dr. Nathan Spinelli from Columbia Basin Health Clinic and Dr. Josuah Tilus from Chinook Pharmacy in Forks, WA.
