The Russell and Sheri Crawford Legacy Scholarship in Pharmacy was established with a major gift from Rusty and Sheri, whose goal was to share a common career. Rusty spent his entire 30+ year career serving our nation’s Veterans at the VA Hospital in Tucson, Arizona where he found his passion as an oncology pharmacist and developed a PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program. Rusty has served as a mentor and preceptor to hundreds of student pharmacists and was recognized as Preceptor of the Year by the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy in 2011. Sheri spent the majority of her career as an investigational research pharmacist, also at the VA in Tucson, and aided in the growth of their research programs. Both Rusty and Sheri, proud Cougars, have recently retired. They have lived in Tucson for over 30 years and truly enjoy the desert landscape.
