This endowment was established by the friends, colleagues and students of Larry Simonsmeier to continue his legacy with an annual scholarship in his name. Larry’s long time friends and students, Leon and Merrie Kay Alzola, were instrumental in creating this scholarship.
The distributions from this fund shall be used to provide scholarships to students in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences professional program. Recipients shall be selected by the college scholarship committee on the basis of financial need and academic performance. Preference will be given to a fourth year student, who has received at least a “B” grade in pharmacy law, and is from a town with a population less than 10,000.
