WSU pharmacy dean reappointed through 2021

Washington State University has announced the reappointment of Gary M. Pollack as dean of the College of Pharmacy in Spokane.

The WSU Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President released the following statement on Wednesday regarding the action:

“It is with great pleasure that I announce Dr. Gary Pollack’s reappointment as dean of the College of Pharmacy effective immediately and through the spring of 2021. We very much appreciate Dr. Pollack’s clear and impactful leadership, and we look forward to both his second term as the dean of the college, and to the bright future and substantial accomplishments that are yet to come for the College of Pharmacy.”

Pollack was hired as dean in 2010, and his tenure has brought the WSU College of Pharmacy through several significant milestones. These accomplishments include the relocation of the college to brand new facilities on the WSU Health Sciences campus in Spokane, the innovation of the college’s educational delivery and assessment methods, and the extension of the WSU Doctor of Pharmacy program to Yakima, Washington.

Over the same period, the college has seen substantial growth and emphasis on research and graduate education. More details on the college’s accomplishments over the last five years are outlined in its 2015 Annual Report.
