Pharmacy Careers: What is a residency and why does it matter?

March 4 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free

Are you interested in pursuing your Doctor of Pharmacy, but not sure how that translates to a career? Have you heard of the term pharmacy residency, but not sure what it means or why it’s pertinent to a career in pharmacy? Join us for a conversation with Dr. Megan Willson, a faculty member who has extensive experience with pharmacy residency. She served as the pharmacist member of the internal medicine residency team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, where her focus was inpatient medical care and teaching of medical residents, medical students, pharmacy residents and student pharmacists. She has engaged in research related to patient safety, mental health and scholarship of teaching. She currently serves as the Associate Dean for Professional Education for the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She will share her educational and clinical journey and she will be able to answer questions about the pharmacy residency process. You won’t want to miss this!
