Health Care Challenges of the Marshallese

FreeDr. Robin Narruhn, Associate Professor from Seattle University, will discuss the Marshallese people’s history and health care challenges due to nuclear bomb testing on their island during the Cold War leading to radiation and plutonium contamination. This presentation integrates what her people have suffered, the unique health care needs they have, and will educate health care providers on opportunities to improve care to the community of around 5,000 Marshallese who currently live in the Spokane area.
This event is open to all students, staff, and faculty on the WSU Spokane or campus.
