National Rural Health Day: Transforming Health Care and Impacting Lives in Rural Communities – Spokane

In celebration of National Rural Health Day, the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will host a seminar on the challenges facing rural health care and the role pharmacists play in access to care. Three WSU pharmacy alums will take part in this panel discussion to provide their first-hand experiences working in rural communities in a critical access hospital, an independent pharmacy, and a rural Federally Qualified Health Center:
- Merilla Hopkins (’93), Pharmacy Director/Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport
- Amanda Goyke (’07), Independent Pharmacy Owner
- Kiersten Stintzi (’23), Clinical Pharmacist, NEW Health
