Over 130 Years

Educating Future Pharmacists and Researchers

Based in Spokane, Washington, the WSU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is one of the original areas of study since the founding of the university in 1891. From its inception as a land-grant university, the college has become a leader and resource on the West Coast for pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical research.

It’s ranked top tier of all public and private pharmacy schools for research funding by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and ranked top 10 in the West Coat by collegefactual.com. The college has paved the way for pharmacists to play a greater role in a health care team authoring trainings for pharmacies to offer immunizations along with other point-of-care tests and treatments.

The pharmacy program has been accredited since 1912 and relocated to WSU Spokane campus from Pullman in 2013. The campus is home to the College of Nursing and the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. In 2015, it extended its PharmD program to Yakima, located on the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.
