Admissions Requirements

Early Admission Priority Deadline

Applications must be received by December 5. Admissions committee will start reviewing applications after this deadline.

Degree/GPA Requirement

Must have a 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) and have completed a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science level degree program.

Letters of Recommendation

Three (3) letters of recommendation from evaluators who can speak to your professional character, accountability, and notable experiences, such as a professor, teaching assistant, employer or volunteer supervisor are required. We recommend you obtain an evaluation from an academic source that can speak knowledgeably about your academic history.

We do not accept letters of recommendation from family members, friends, politicians, fraternity or sorority advisors, personal health care providers, or high school faculty/advisors. We also do not accept recommendations from career services or reference letter centers.

Statement of Purpose

Statement should include professional goals, specific interests in the program, and research experience. The statement of purpose should also include the name(s) of faculty member(s) in the program whose research is of most interest to the applicant.

International Student English Proficiency

Students must have met the English proficiency by one of the ways listed below or visiting this website if you think you should receive a waiver: application requirements for international students.

* scores must be submitted directly to the Graduate School (school code 4705) from the testing services. Unofficial scores are not accepted

Application Submissions

Application materials can be uploaded via the online application process. Please create an account in PharmGrad, select our program, and you will receive additional instructions on the application process. The application fee is a total of $90; $50 is through PharmGrad and $40 is through the WSU Graduate School. Applicants may upload copies of unofficial transcripts (not web printouts) for the purpose of evaluation but upon admission will be required to have official transcripts sent by their previous institutions to:

Interview

Selected candidates will receive an invitation to interview with WSU. The invitation will provide instructions on how to schedule the interview. Interviews are conducted virtually over Zoom. Interviews are completed by our admissions committee.
