Pharmacy Careers: A Pharmacist’s Critical Role in Diabetes Care

April 10 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free

Are you interested in pursuing your Doctor of Pharmacy, but not sure how that translates to a career? Join us for a conversation with Dr. Joshua Neumiller whose primary area of clinical and research interest is the care of patients with diabetes and kidney disease. After being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 25, he immediately took an interest in learning as much as he could about diabetes and its management. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association, and he is an active volunteer for the Association for Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES). He has been involved in the development of clinical practice guidelines and educational resources for health care providers and people living with diabetes. He will share his educational and clinical journey and he will be able to answer questions about clinical care of patients with diabetes and kidney disease from the pharmacy perspective.
