About Me

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Spokane from Huntington Beach in 2006 with my husband, Scott (WSU Business grad, ’86) and our two children. Throughout my marriage I heard repeatedly about how incredible WSU was, so it’s an honor to work here. Prior to this, I spent the majority of my career as the government relations director for the Building Industry Association, which was the largest trade association in Orange County in the 1990s. In 1997, I left to launch my own public relations and non-profit fundraising consulting business and worked for many large corporations, political candidates, and philanthropic organizations in Los Angeles and Orange County. I joined the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences as part of the development team in 2012 and became the director of development in 2015.

In my spare time I like to…

I love to read, especially mysteries, poetry, and classic literature. I write fiction. I also love all sports, music, dancing, and playing pool.

Why WSU?

Being married to a WSU alumnus in Southern California, I heard all about the Cougar community for years but never had any firsthand knowledge. When I saw Pullman for the first time, and went to my first WSU football game, I felt the common bonds that everyone talks about with regard to WSU. When we moved to Spokane, it was surprising how much camaraderie and excitement there was for WSU here. It is a tremendous source of pride in the community and the WSU Health Sciences campus in Spokane has transformed the downtown area. I’m tremendously proud that our daughter, Hannah, has chosen to apply (and accepted) at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine and will begin her first year in 2021. We’re officially a Cougar family now!
