Biography

Jennifer D. Robinson, PharmD is Associate Vice Provost for Health Science Initiatives at Washington State University (WSU) Health Sciences and Professor in the Department of Pharmacotherapy within the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She provides leadership for interprofessional education initiatives across WSU’s Health Sciences campuses and works collaboratively with academic, health system, and community partners to advance team-based healthcare education and workforce development.

Dr. Robinson earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University and is a licensed pharmacist in Washington State. Since joining the WSU faculty in 2008, she has served in numerous leadership roles including Associate Dean of Professional Education, Assistant Dean of Recruitment and Student Success, and Director of Student Services. Her career has focused on educational innovation, student success, leadership development, and preparing health professionals to thrive in increasingly complex healthcare environments.

A nationally recognized educator and scholar, Dr. Robinson’s research and program development efforts focus on interprofessional education, health professions workforce development, student well-being, mental health promotion, leadership development, and healthcare quality and safety. She has led or contributed to over $17M in externally funded projects, including the Washington State Rural Health Transformation Program and initiatives supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Education, and other national organizations.

Dr. Robinson has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and has delivered invited presentations nationally and internationally on topics including mental health, student well-being, leadership development, situational judgment testing, diversity and inclusion, and educational innovation. Her scholarship has received multiple national recognitions, including Manuscript of the Year awards from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, as well as national awards for innovation in teaching and continuing professional development.

Within professional organizations, Dr. Robinson has held numerous leadership positions with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, including Secretary of Knowledge Management and Administrative Liaison for the Council of Deans. She is actively engaged in advancing pharmacy education, faculty development, and collaborative approaches to improving health outcomes.

Dr. Robinson is passionate about developing resilient healthcare teams, expanding access to quality healthcare in rural and underserved communities, and creating meaningful learning experiences that prepare future health professionals to work effectively across disciplines in service of patients and communities.
