Washington State University

Thank you!

Gifts and investments from a number of individuals and organizations have allowed the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS) to move well beyond the expected and accomplish the remarkable.

The following is a list of many — by no means all — alumni and friends who have contributed financially to the college’s impact on students and in scientific research.

Health Sciences and Services Authority (HSSA) of Spokane County

Grant awards from HSSA have made it possible to establish core research facilities on the WSU Health Sciences campus in Spokane — which also are accessible to community researchers — and to attract accomplished research-active faculty to the college. HSSA grants totaled $1.18 million in 2011 to the CPPS and the campus, and $1.965 million in 2013 to the college. The money helped to purchase much-needed core research equipment and contributed to the start-up packages needed to recruit five faculty.

In a show of support as the college moved into the new Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences building in Spokane, Walgreens donated $500,000 to the college for the naming opportunity of the 150-seat auditorium in the building which is now known as Walgreens Auditorium.
