in partnership with the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture

The integration of global supply chains, product development and services in the pharmaceutical industry requires complex and strategic thinkers across a variety of disciplines. Through the Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) Master’s Degree and Certificate programs, you will prepare for the growing need in technical management of manufacturing operations in the pharmaceutical industry, health care, and governmental research initiatives, among many others.

ETM coursework offered through the WSU Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture will allow you to tackle complex problems with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset to manage a spectrum of job duties, including supervision of a wide array of technical personnel, design and deployment of pharmaceutical technological systems, project management, production, operations management, evaluation of technology value, and safety and quality control oversight.

Dual degree programs also save students time and money. Some pharmacy courses allow the ETM program to waive elective requirements; likewise some ETM courses allow the pharmacy program to waive elective requirements. Master’s Degree

A master’s degree in Engineering and Technology Management requires 30 semester hours, comprised of 27 semester hours of coursework (9 courses) and 3 semester hours of a non-thesis capstone experience. Some courses from the PharmD program meet the core competency requirements and thus may be substituted for the E _ M courses.

Certificate Program

The Engineering and Technology Management Certificate program allows you to complete shorter professional blocks of coursework by taking 3 to 4 courses (9 to 12 credit hours) in specialized areas to earn your certificate. Course credits earned for a certificate may also apply to your master’s degree in the ETM program or other graduate degree programs. If you want to broaden your skillset, you can earn more than one certificate and work on your certificate and master’s program at the same time.
