Master’s Degree

A master’s degree in Engineering and Technology Management requires 30 semester hours, comprised of 27 semester hours of coursework (9 courses) and 3 semester hours of a non-thesis capstone experience. Some courses from the PharmD program meet the core competency requirements and thus may be substituted for the E _ M courses.

Certificate Program

The Engineering and Technology Management Certificate program allows you to complete shorter professional blocks of coursework by taking 3 to 4 courses (9 to 12 credit hours) in specialized areas to earn your certificate. Course credits earned for a certificate may also apply to your master’s degree in the ETM program or other graduate degree programs. If you want to broaden your skillset, you can earn more than one certificate and work on your certificate and master’s program at the same time.

How to Apply

To be eligible for the dual degree and certificate program you must apply separately and be admitted, to both the CPPS PharmD program and the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture ETM program. An admitted PharmD student may apply for admission to the dual degree program at any time prior to receipt of the PharmD degree. Please feel free to reach out to the ETM program staff to learn more about the program and the benefits of pursuing an ETM degree or certificates.

Apply through the graduate school. You will need to provide the following:

1. Curriculum vitae
2. Personal statement (3-5 paragraphs describing your educational and career goals)
3. Three letters of recommendations (required for master’s degree only)
4. Unofficial transcripts can be submitted for initial review, but official transcripts will be requested once admitted. (Official transcripts are those provided directly from the registrar of the school attended to the WSU Graduate School).
5. $75 application fee

Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition to each college will be paid separately through your student account. However, dual PharmD/ETM degree students will receive a discounted tuition rate per credit for their E_M courses. Current ETM tuition rates for dual degree students can be found on the ETM Tuition and Finances webpage under WSU Students and Affiliates.
