AWIS and the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences invites you to attend a presentation by Joanne Kamens, the Executive Director at Addgene, who will be discussing, “What’s new at Addgene? The unique nonprofit driving collaboration, reproducibility and openness in science.” Free pizza will be provided.

Dr. Kamens is the Executive Director of Addgene, a mission-driven, nonprofit dedicated to helping scientists around the world share useful research reagents and data. Addgene is no. 1 in the Boston Globe’s 2016 Top Places to Work. Kamens received her Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard Medical School then spent 20 years as a researcher and director in pharma and biotech. Dr. Kamens founded the Boston chapter of the Association for Women in Science. She is active in creating and supporting a number of mentoring programs for science trainees. Dr. Kamens was named one of PharmaVoice’s 100 Most Inspiring Commanders & Chiefs. She gives more than 80 talks each year on career topics all over the world.
