The Dangers of Ignoring Personal & Cultural Medicine Beliefs

Dr. Kevin Walker (’12), PharmD, is a Yakama descendant born and raised on the Yakama Indian Reservation. Walker found his vocational calling while serving his tribe at the Yakama Indian Health Services. He is a WSU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences alumnus  and continued his education through a specialty residency in geriatrics and education. He has served as a long-term care facility consultant, mental health consultant, hospital pharmacy director, director of clinical services, speaker, lecturer, director of sales (telehealth), chief strategy officer (health technology), and currently co-owns businesses that focus on advancing the profession of pharmacy, most notably RPhAlly. Throughout his career, Walker has prioritized weaving together clinical expertise, relationship building, and technology optimization to improve patient care and outcomes.
