CPPS Virtual Research Seminar Series Speaker Matthew Redinbo

Matt Redinbo received his PhD at UCLA in biochemistry and structural biology, and then performed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle in structural biology. He joined UNC Chapel Hill in 1999 as an Assistant Professor, has moved through the ranks and served as Chair of the Chemistry Department. He is now Kenan Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Genomics with appointments in UNC’s College of Arts and Sciences and its School of Medicine. His current research is focused on the gut microbiota’s influence on human health.
