Email Lists FAQ

How can I look at messages sent to the list?
If you are subscribed to a list you may use the “Archives” link to view all messages sent to the list. Messages are grouped by month and year.

Why does the system keep asking me for a password?
When attempting to view archived messages or make changes to your profile, you will need to login to the list. The login and password for each list is unique. Your WSU Network ID will not work.

How do I request a new password for a list?
To request your password use the “List Options ” link for your class list. At the bottom of the page located in the section titled: “To unsubscribe from XXXXXX, get a password reminder, or change your subscription options enter your subscription email address:”

Fill in your email address and select the “Unsubscribe or Edit Options” button.

A new page will be displayed. At the bottom of the page select the “Remind” button to have your password emailed to you.

Your password will be emailed to you. Once you have your password you may visit the archives page for your list and login using your email address and password.

Why doesn’t my WSU login and password work?
The mail list system is not tied to WSU network IDs. Each list requires a unique password. If you are a member of more than one list you will have different passwords for each list.

How can I get a list of the people subscribed to a mail list?
To retrieve a list of people subscribed to the mail list you must be a member of that list. Select the “List Options” link for your class list. At the bottom of the page located in the section entitled Subscribers enter in your email address and list password.
