A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Zhaokang Cheng at Washington State University Spokane. The major focus of our research program is on novel mechanisms of cell death (apoptosis, necrosis, and autophagy-associated cell death) in heart diseases such as myocardial infarction and anthracycline cardiomyopathy. The successful candidate will work closely with the principal investigator, as well as other fellows and students in a highly collaborative environment. Job duties include designing and carrying out experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, writing manuscripts for publication, and training graduate and undergraduate students. A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Zhang at Washington State University Spokane in the College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences to study immunology and cancer-associated cachexia. The research in Zhang lab is focused on cancer immunology and immunotherapy, and the molecular mechanisms governing cancer-associated cachexia. We are seeking a self-motivated scientist with the ability to independently design and carry out experiments, interpret results and write manuscripts. A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Washington State University Spokane with Dr. Boyang (Jason) Wu. The research will be focused on molecular/cellular and preclinical studies on 1) characterizing tumor-stromal interactions underlying tumor initiation and progression, and 2) understanding of androgen receptor signaling and antiandrogen resistance in castration-resistant and neuroendocrine prostate cancer.
