The College of Pharmacy is seeking an enthusiastic and customer service oriented individual to a provide a variety of clerical support as well as to be the first point of contact for the Office and the Dean. This full time position provides general reception to all College of Pharmacy visitors to the central college units in the Dean’s Office suite including Student Services, Business Services, Development, Communications and the Dean. It serves as the first point of contact by welcoming, greeting and directing visitors in person and through telephone calls. The majority of the clerical support will be directed to the Student Services Office but additional responsibilities will include special event support for the College of Pharmacy and the Office of the Dean.

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Zhaokang Cheng at Washington State University Spokane. The major focus of our research program is on novel mechanisms of cell death (apoptosis, necrosis, and autophagy-associated cell death) in heart diseases such as myocardial infarction and anthracycline cardiomyopathy. The successful candidate will work closely with the principal investigator, as well as other fellows and students in a highly collaborative environment. Job duties include designing and carrying out experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, writing manuscripts for publication, and training graduate and undergraduate students. A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Zhang at Washington State University Spokane in the College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences to study immunology and cancer-associated cachexia. The research in Zhang lab is focused on cancer immunology and immunotherapy, and the molecular mechanisms governing cancer-associated cachexia. We are seeking a self-motivated scientist with the ability to independently design and carry out experiments, interpret results and write manuscripts.
